I love love love this short film, or rather commercial, whereby Mean Girls actress Lizzy Caplan mocks hipsters while wearing the clothes she is essentially selling to them in this Viva Vena ad. How I only discovered this now, when it was released back in February, I have no idea?! But I am just glad I watched it now :)

And in case you didn't know, according to Urban Dictionary "Hipsters are a subculture of men and women typically in their 20's and 30's that value independent thinking, counter-culture, progressive politics, an appreciation of art and indie-rock, creativity, intelligence, and witty banter."

In my opinion, this commercial is brilliant! It is probably the best satirical ad I have ever seen. And I absolutely love how she playfully mocks our generations bohemian culture. Love it! What do you think? Over the top or fantastic? Please let me know what you think of it :)

I DON'T NEED A MAN

Pussycat Dolls have got to be one of my all-time favourite groups. I love how gorgeous, sexy, and fun they are. Plus they make music that I love to dance to. One of my absolute favourite PCD songs has got to be "I don't need a man". I've always been somewhat of a feminist, in the sense that I have always seen myself and women in general as equals to men. I've never been the type of female to back down or keep quiet or dumb myself down for fear that a man will challenge me, not respect my opinion or even not like me because I give myself a voice & stand up for what I believe.

Rihanna: You Da One Video

It's no secret that I am in love with Rihanna. And so naturally when her new video for "You Da One" was released, I was all over it. Have to say I love. Duh! And you also know of my love for photography too. Well, there is one particular shot in the music video that I was like " I want a photograph of me in that exact position " This is the shot below. I'm not crazy right?! You want it too?
