Summer White {OOTD}

White in summer oozes freshness. And even though I am a total black lover (all year round), there's something equally seductive about white. I enjoyed styling this look with the pops of pink here & there.  It's kinda fun. I like!  And those Melissa heels are so comfortable!!! I could live in them! What do you think of my look? White Anglaise Lace Shorts (Woolworths) / Denim Vest (DJ Zinhle X Legit) /

Nothing says summer like crisp white! And this white cotton anglaise lace short from Studio W @ Woolworths (available in store) is just perfect! This season you are sure to see lace in all shapes & forms: dresses, skirts, tops, accessories, & especially shorts - which are my personal favorite. Nothing beats a great pair of shorts in Summer. These are a great length too. 

When I styled my lace short, I saw crisp white goodness in my head! I feel as though the denim vest adds to the look, but doesn't draw you away from the white cotton. I love denim & white as a combo. Being the lucky girl I am, last week I got to attend the DJZinhle X Legit summer launch party in Johannesburg. And not only did LEGIT have me for the party, but they also organized many other little treats for us blogging girls - 1 being a R1000 gift card which I used to buy the neckpiece & earrings in this look. This H&M skirt was a must from the second I saw it in Hong Kong. LOVE!!!

Off to The Races / Durban July OOTD

The 2013 Vodacom Durban July has been my best year yet! I was in the Miller marquee aka Miller Boomtown (in the VVIP area) - & awesome people like 2 Chainz, AKA & Kuli Chana performed. I had an amazing time with great company :) I shot these photos before the event, & I have to say I am quite impressed with the look I put together. I wanted to also show you guys that attending a HUGE event like this doesn't necessarily mean you have to fork out money of designer threads. You can go for a mix n match look too. I have also included a video on Essentials for attending an all day event below.

How HOT is this dress!!! Oh my word guys, this dress makes me feel so damn sexy I kid you not.  It's not that obvious sexy, but rather that grown up sexy feeling you know. Hot !gloo has some other pretty cool pieces that you can check out here.

Today is just a beautiful day in Durban as well, so perhaps that is helping my mood along. There was a slight drizzle as I got in the car & headed to work after shooting these, but still the sun was shining. I hope you all are having an amazing day just like me!
