Neutral Neon

Neutral & Neon is such a lovely combo! I remember seeing this sweater at the Mango launch in Gateway last year & thinking HELL YEAH! And although I have worn it many times already, this is it's first appearance on the blog. And how HOTTT are my heels from Legit!! I don't have the best toes, but they don't look to bad here lol. My mom can't handle these heels, every time she sees me wearing them I can see in her eyes she wishes they would fit her :) hahaha

The blog is approximately 126 000 views away from 500 000 views! And if my calculations are correct, we should be there between June & July. Hopefully sooner! Thanks for all the support, emails, tweets & so on. You guys rock! Expect something special to celebrate the milestone! And if you have any ideas, don't be shy to comment below & let me know!

Hong Kong Haul Video

My Hong Kong Haul is here!!! If you didn't know - I went to China / Hong Kong for work in September ( See pictures here ). So I am uber excited to share some of the awesome goodies I bought while over there. I only shopped in Hong Kong, as China was really busy for me. Besides, the shops in Hong Kong are AMAZING!!! I got to have my 1st H&M experience, and Cotton On too. Can you say IN LOVE!!! So these are just some detail shots of some of the items -I did shoot a Haul Video where you can see everything I purchased. Enjoy!

OOTD: Fashion by The Sea

I was lucky enough to attend the Fashion By The Sea 2012 event as a media guest last night. South Africa, & more importantly Durban has some of the best beaches you can imagine. It is so beautiful, & even more so at night. The actual show was on the pier & it is probably the longest runway in South Africa. Sounds awesome right?! This fashion show featured some of South Africa's greatest talents such as Gavin Rajah, Craig Native & Craig Port among many others. I had an amazing evening, that was topped off with an interview with my absolute favourite SA designer: Gavin Rajah. I was professional, but oh my word this man is amazing. His work is so detailed, & unlike anything any other designer has to offer. He is in a class of his own.

Now back to me. I went for a cool, quirky vibe rather than uber sexy or chic. And how amazing is my Romwe T-shirt?! What do you think?

OOTD The PERFECT COLLAR

Style Diary: My GYPSY HEART

My heart is a gypsy - searching for a home, fighting within itself, wondering whether it is weak, or even right for that matter to be searching the first place. Loneliness is what it feels like...

Today was a great day! I was feeling gypsy vibes from the second I woke up this morning. And might I add, I woke up naturally, without any alarms - a very unusual occurrence for me. I was in a great mood. I am in a great mood still. I don't know when I started believing this, but for a while now, I've believed that I was a gypsy in a past life. Yes I do believe that our souls live many lives. I'm Catholic, but not religious. I am spiritual.

And within my many spiritual beliefs - I believe in Tarot. I  had been getting my tarot fix from various sites, until I got myself a tarot deck a few months ago. And let me tell you, I have done plenty readings since then. For me, tarot is a symbolism - there is no need for language or any other signs. The cards do influence me - they influence me to stop clamping down on parts of myself and give them room to speak, so that I can make an integrated, more whole choice without denying important aspects of my own role in that choice

A while ago this card came up in a reading - I knew it was good. The Wheel of Fortune represents the unifying aspects of the psyche; the unconscious and conscious have converged. And that is exactly how I feel. I have wanted my career to move in a certain direction, & it finally is.

That quote from Bo Derek is too true!!! My energy levels were so low this morning, but as soon as I entered the doors of the mall I was happy. So there I was off to the mall to see the new ZARA store that just opened here in Durban. In case you don't know about Durban, we're super laid-back and chilled, and so is our style. My typical mall look is shorts & a T. So today was no different, a cute denim skirt & a black tank, paired with iPanema slops. And let's not forget the body chain & cross earrings to finish off the look!!!

I die for this body chain!!! I bought it after looking at it a million different times.

I received this fabulous pair of jeggings from my colleagues at work after "hinting" at it for weeks before my birthday. I was super excited to wear them, and was absolutely pleased with the fit. Love this look!!! Definitely one of my favorites!!!

I spent part of my "BIRTHDAY WEEKEND" with some friends, both old & new. We spent Sunday evening drinking cocktails & eating this huge ass pizza at a Durban hotspot "Taco Zulu". If you can't tell by the pics. I had a fantastic birthday!!!
