Style Diary: MALL WORLD

Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping. ~Bo Derek
?
Black Tank  + iPanema sandals ( Woolworth's )
Denim Skirt ( Identity )
Bag ( Gift )
Body Chain, Earrings, Ring ( DIVA )
?
That quote from Bo Derek is too true!!! My energy levels were so low this morning, but as soon as I entered the doors of the mall I was happy. So there I was off to the mall to see the new ZARA store that just opened here in Durban. In case you don't know about Durban, we're super laid-back and chilled, and so is our style. My typical mall look is shorts & a T. So today was no different, a cute denim skirt & a black tank, paired with iPanema slops. And let's not forget the body chain & cross earrings to finish off the look!!!

I die for this body chain!!! I bought it after looking at it a million different times.
You like?

I love my slops!!! And my cool earrings too!!!

Love you all!!! Thanks for your support!

The only sad thing is that I wish I erned more money so that I could buy EVERYTHING!!! lol. I did still manage to make a purchase, an awesome grey t-shirt dress. I cannot wait to wear it :) I can tell you now, this is where my money will be spent from now on!!!

ZARA finally launches in Sandton!!!

I am all smiles about Zara launching their first store on South African soil...because that means soon Durban will have their very own Zara store at Gateway Theatre of Shopping. I would've loved to have attended the Sandton launch, but unfortunately work has kept me super busy. But I do plan on making an effort to attend the Gateway launch. I did manage to find some pictures from the Sandton launch to share with you. What do you think?

I love this display. Its like your own personal stylist!

ZARA South Africa Recruitment*

If you didn't already know, one of the world's biggest retailer has set their sights on South Africa, and will be opening stores all over the country in a matter of months! Exciting, yes indeed. I have been looking forward to Zara coming to Durban, Gateway since I first saw the construction signs go up.

Yesterday, I found out that Zara is currently recruiting staff for their Durban store, and I simply have to be apart of this. My CV has been submitted! If you want to be apart of the Zara family, you need to send your CV off to benclo@mweb.co.za or visit www.benclo.co.za asap. You don't want to miss out on this opportunity!

Love me some ZARA!!!

It's only a few months to go until we have a few Zara stores opening here in South Africa, and can I just say that I am super excited! I have been loving Zara's clothes for a while now, & just the thought that I will have access to them here in my city ( Durban) is a dream. When I first saw the construction signs outside the mall ( Gateway Theatre of Shopping ) I go to, I was like what is that?! Previously, I had only heard of Cape Town & Johannesburg getting Zara stores, but luckily, Durban is too. They have apparently combined 2 or 3 smaller boutiques, and extended into the parking lot to make the new Zara store! Now can you see why I am soooo excited? It's going to be awesome!

Here are a few of the looks I am loving from the Zara website!

This Sequinned blazer is fabulous!!!

Love this simple but dramatic dress with side slits. You have to have killer legs for this!

Gotta love metallics.

This tunic is great for a NIGHT OUT!

I love love love this striped tunic, I would so wear this!

I love this twill shirt, very cool!

I love this feather gilet, not sure if I could pull it off though?!

Loving the two-tone shoes!!

D&G label to fold into main label: Dolce & Gabbana

Italian fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana is planning to fold its secondary D&G brand into the main label, according to many people familiar with the matter, it is an effort to limit cannibalization between the two lines. The D&G label will disappear, but the Dolce & Gabbana line will extend its price range to carry lower-priced clothing in addition to its more expensive, tailored collection.

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana

It has been said that the D&G line will cease in August 2012. However, there have not been any official statements from Dolce & Gabbana regarding this matter, they have apparently started notifying retailers that carry the D&G label. The Dolce & Gabbana brand is known for it's sexy tailoring, where as the D&G line is known for it's youthful flair. It will be interesting to see how the two designers incorporate the two brands into one. And also what the consumers response to the change will be.

The brands' catwalk shows during Milan Fashion Week demonstrated the differences: D&G Fall 2011 RTW playfully used letters of the alphabet to make colorful patterns; Dolce & Gabbana A/W 2011/2011 sent out a sultry ensemble of suits and lace dresses. Both lines are designed and owned by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana.

ZARA in South Africa

After years of seeing ZARAs fabulous clothing on the Internet, it has finally been confirmed that Zara will be opening a store in South Africa. The location of South Africas first Zara store is yet to be confirmed, but it has been said that they will be carrying a collection designed especially for the Southern Hemisphere. And we can expect to be on par with Zara stores in Australia, Brazil and Chile.

I think South Africans will enjoy the exclusivity of the brand, as they only release a limited supply of each garment. This is helpful to any fashionista as it eliminates the chances of someone wearing the same thing as you. What's most important is that Zara has something for everyone.

Here are some pictures from Zaras Lookbook.

I love these colourful looks. The blue dress is my fav.

Gotta love colour!

Colourful pants..Yes please!!

Zara Menswear has something for every man.

Loving the skinny trousers.
