Photographer OBSSESSION: Terry Richardson

Terry Richardson with Jared Leto.

Terry Richardson is an international celebrity as well as one of the most prolific and compelling photographers of his generation. Known for his uncanny ability to cut to the raw essence of whomever appears before his lens, Mr. Richardson's vision is at once humorous, tragic, often beautiful, and always provocative.

The New York native has shot for major fashion magazines, French Vogue & Harper's Bazaar. And let's not forget all the celebrities, models & designers he has shot too: Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld, Jay Z, Jared Leto (pictured above) & Kate Moss to name a few.

My favourite photographs are the ones where Terry has his subject put on his glasses & imitate him.

Terry as Gaga - Gaga as Terry.

Penelope Cruz as Terry.

Rihanna as Terry.
This photograph is actually Rihanna's current avatar on twitter.

Waka Flocka Flame as Terry.

Kate Moss.

JLO in GOLD Dolce&Gabbana!!!

Watching American Idol this evening, I was immediately taken by Jennifer Lopez in a gold sequin star dress by none other than Dolce & Gabbana. WOW!!! I had previously blogged about this Fall 2011 collection by Dolce & Gabbana, and was pleasantly pleased to see how stunningly Jennifer's curves filled this dress.
First up is a photograph from the runway:

And here is Jennifer in the dress:

Now tell me you don't think she is absolutely rocking it?! Seriously gorgeous!!! #inlove But what I also remembered after Jennifer took it back a few seasons in this dress, is that Miss Kim Kardashian was also spotted wearing this dress. October 2011 to be exact, on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Arabia. She too filled out the dress in a fabulous manner. Talk about dangerous curves ahead! #love

So what do you think of these curvaceous women in this stunning dress??? Do comment below!

Rosie Huntington Whiteley for UK Harper's Bazaar January 2012

Poolside glamour never looked so good thanks to uber model & Transformers actress, Rosie Huntington Whiteley. Her cascading mass of vintage style waves add that extra bit of glamour & luxury to it all. Sultry swimwear, luxurious jewels, killer heels & flawless make-up. This is perfection!!!

SUMMERTIME & Im very jealous!

I am so jealous of the Northern Hemisphere right now. Everywhere I turn  i see something to do with Summer. On my favourite blogs. In the magazines ( Vogue UK, Harper's Bazaar) I read. The online shops I visit. Everywhere! It's silly really, because I know our Summer here in South Africa is only months away, but it still I cant help this feeling. Anyway, I thought Id post some great Spring/Summer inspired pictures for all of my friends & followers up North. Enjoy your Summer friends!

Hope you all have a fabulous Summer. And If you aren't following this blog, please do so via Google connect or Bloglovin' located on the right of the blog. xoxo

Lady GaGa covers Harpers Bazaar May 2011 issue

Pop icon Lady Gaga covers the May 2011 issue of Harper's Bazaar magazine which will be in stores very soon. Miss Gaga speaks about plastic surgery & what it is to be an artist.

She tells the magazine "I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have. I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification." Well Gaga, what's up with the cheek bones or whatever that it on your face? Is that not harmful artistic expression? Don't get me wrong here, I am a huge Gaga fan. I love her. She says plastic surgery is bad, but is her modifying her body with the cheek bone & shoulder  stuff good? I don't think so. I think that too is sending the wrong message to her fans, & may even lead to people wanting to look like her. She was so not "Born this way".
