F/W 2013 �ber Trend: Plaid

One tiny glimpse at the fall/winter 2013 collections is enough to understand one thing: Grunge is one of the strongest most defining trends for next season. Now don't get me wrong, I still don't know what to make of this infamous Saint Laurent collection by Slimane. Nevertheless it was right on track just as Stella Mc Cartney, Celine, Givenchy and the others.

NYFW Favs: Badgley Mischka Fall 2012

For me, the dresses stole the show at the Fall 2012 presntation of Badgley Mischka at New York Fashion Week. I can see all my favourite stars wearing them to red carpet events. Love Love Love!!!

NYFW Favs: Betsey Johnson Fall 2012

As usual, Betsey Johnson does not disappoint! I loved looking through the photographs from her show. It's always so fun & sexy too. Love the use of colour. What do you think about her Fall 2012 Collection?

Gavin Rajah WoWs at Cape Town Fashion Week!!!

 I saw my first Gavin Rajah collection in 2007 at Durban Fashion Week. It was my first year studying Fashion Design and I was in awe. It was my favourite collection of that fashion week.

I was unable to attend this fabulous showcase, but I did watch the live video stream on facebook. And Gavin Rajah simply did not disappoint with his Jaipur Collection Spring/Summer 2012. He is truly South Africa's King of Couture. His use of rich bead work, and beautifully cut pieces show how masterfully talented he is.

I'm aware of the fact that it all just started in Milan, but you can already notice a lot of trends predominating: Green, red and oranges, sheer and flowing fabrics. LOVE IT! Can't wait to see the rest of the shows.
