Kiehl's 28 Day "Change Your Skin" Challenge - Week 2

Week 2 of my 28 Day Challenge has been a breeze! Using the Midnight Recovery Concentrate has really become a part of my routine every evening. I have honestly not missed 1 night! Awesome right?!

So, while I am having a great time, I thought I would share with you how a few of my followers are going along!

Kamielle says " I advice all ladies to get a bottle of 's Midnight Recovery Concentrate. "

And this is an email I received from Nooreen "I am really enjoying the product, winter is not the best season for my skin. I was having some issues with the skin on my forehead and around my mouth - it was dry, and the concentrate has really helped with that. Bonus my skin feels soft and smooth, other than my chin area issues, its a great product. Highly recommend"

Before:

End of Week 2:

Other than my usual "lack of sleep" dark circles, I am happy with the texture, & overall look of my skin. And yeah Im wearing a bathrobe - what can I say. It was bedtime!

Topshop Make Up SS13 Campaign

I love make-up & I love Topshop so you can imagine how excited I was when I saw the press release for this campaign!  The Spring/Summer collection is compiled of trend led products chosen by Hannah Murray and the Topshop Design Team to create a sleek, polished make up look with a flash of high definition color.

The collection really is the ultimate, modern Make Up Edit; it has that minimal bold signature I always try to give my work, said Hannah. Im so excited to have everything in my kit especially the New Eye Cream Quad; four muted metallics that will instantly modernise your look for a cool polish.

Here are some photographs of the products, what do you think? I love the look of the products. I am definitely keen to try the Lip Paint & Blush. Im very interested in the application of the blush so why not test it out for myself - follow me on twitter, when I give them a try, Il be sure to tweet a picture :)

Have you tried these products yet? If so, let me know what you think!
I look forward to hearing from you lovelies!

Yesterday's Hair & Make-up

Lipstick (Clarins) / Spike Necklace (Sass Diva) / Top (Mr Price)

Yesterday, the rain ruined my day! I had planned to shoot an outfit post to publish today in the late afternoon. I was supposed to be meeting with a photographer friend of mine & sadly it started raining in Durban. How awful is that?! I was so disappointed especially because I looked so fab! I had the option of shooting in the studio, but seriously it wasn't what I wanted. Anyway, disappointment at my rainy afternoon aside, here are the pictures of my hair & make-up for the day.

What do you think of my hair & make-up?

Review: Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask "REPAIR"

I regularly color my hair (black) and so it tends to be quite dry. Along with the dryness, split ends seem to be my worst nightmare as well. The other day I popped into Terry Scott Hair Salon at Musgrave Centre & this is what they suggested, the Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask "REPAIR". I have used this product once & immediately saw the difference in my hair. It was much softer & not as dry as before. And did I mention it smells like heaven?! Haha yeah i said it - HEAVEN!

I shampooed like normal, but instead of using a conditioner I used this hair mask. I left it on my hair for about 10 minutes before rinsing it out. I then proceeded with my normal routine of towel drying, blow drying & then using my GHD to flat iron.  I usually use a volume mousse on my hair after I towel dry but didn't this time, so that I didn't have any extra product in my hair, which may have affected the way it looked or felt. Come to think of it, I didn't even use heat protector. Oops!

I know I've only used this product once but I really liked it. I am going to continue using it, and will definitely keep you posted on the health of my hair. I would absolutely repurchase this which says a lot.

Have you tried it? If so, please let me know what you think.
Otherwise, just let me know what you think of my review.

Review: Nicki Minaj OPI Nails

I bought this super cool OPI Nicki Minaj Mini nail polish set when I was in Hong Kong, & I did my nails using 2 of the polishes from the set: FLY (Turquoise) & METALLIC FOR LIFE (Glitter).

OPI is one of my favourite nail polish brands & this is just what you expect from OPI quality  nail polish. I love that the names of the nail polishes are inspired by some of Nicki's songs. I only have 4 of the 6 polishes in the set, and my favourite has got to be Metallic For Life. What can I say, I'm a sucker for glitter :)

Have you tried any of the polishes from this collection? What do you think?

KIEHL's Daily Skincare Routine

Heard of Kiehl's? I'm sure you have! Well 2012 saw the launch of Kiehl's first store in South Africa - Sandton to be exact. I was super exited for the possibilities of a brand like Kiehl's being made available here.

Kiehl's sent me a huge hamper of goodies from their range, & I decided that I would try Kiehl's for 1 month & do an honest review based on what I experienced. I  figured I would start with the Ultra Facial Oil-Free 3 Step Cleanser, Toner & Moisturiser. This test trial started 2 days before I left for China, and I used it for the entire time I was there, and so for the past month & a half  have only used Kiehl's in my skincare routine. This is the only way I could give a proper product review.

And what do I think? Well watch my video review below to find out more!

I use these 3 products daily - religiously!

This UV Defense moisturiser is great! It's SPF 50+ !!!
Here are some pictures of the Sandton store...

And if you can't get to the Sandton store - fear not!!! Everyone in South Africa can get access to Kiehl's through their partnership with Edcon. All you have to do is call the Edgar's Fashion Hotline on 0860 692 274 to request the specific products they are looking for and choose to either have it delivered to their closest Edgars store (free of charge), or delivered to their homes anywhere in SA, at a charge of R50, within 5-7 days. The service is only available to customers in SA. So simple!!!

To keep up to date with all the goings on with Kiehl's South Africa, visit their Twitter Page here.
