I spent part of my "BIRTHDAY WEEKEND" with some friends, both old & new. We spent Sunday evening drinking cocktails & eating this huge ass pizza at a Durban hotspot "Taco Zulu". If you can't tell by the pics. I had a fantastic birthday!!!
Seriously..How huge is the pizza?!
My friends Raoul & Lisa.
I love what a "poser" Lisa is. Guess she can afford to though..Gorgeous!!!!
?I know the music video for The Band Perry's "If I die young" has been out for a while now, but I only recently saw it. And when I did, I immediately fell in love with it. I love the song, there is something so morbidly poetic about the lyrics. I find a subtle and symbolic beauty in the verses that at times display a confidence in God, being grateful for the time you were given on earth and not wanting the people you love and care about to suffer in misery after you are gone.
This music video is just so sweet. You may find that weird, but I really do love the way lead singer Kimberly is dressed so sweet & innocent in true country music fashion. If you haven't seen the video here is a summary of what happens: In the video, the band's lead singer, Kimberly Perry, is shown alternately singing to the camera and lying in a boat that is being pushed down stream by her brothers Neil and Reid. As she floats, she carries a book of Tennyson's poems. Toward the end of the video, the book of poems is shown lying open to The Lady of Shallot. In brief, the poem describes a woman who lives in a tower, living a solitary life except for the people of Camelot whom she is only able to view as images in a mirror. She is unable to look directly out her window due to a curse upon her. In essence, she isn't really living life to the fullest, but seeing only shadows of what life could be.
The Band Perry's song also speaks of their belief that no matter how much time we have on earth, it should be spent truly enjoying life and appreciating the moments that we do have. So let's do exactly that. Make the most of everything you are blessed with. We don't know when our time here is up.
I celebrated my 23rd birthday today!!! My day was so special. Even though I spent the day at work, it was totally awesome. I love the prezzies I recieved from those special to me. It really was a fantastic day.
Right now I am absolutely OBSSESSED with The Glamourai. Not only is this girl stunning, but she has fantastic taste in everything from shoes & handbags, to the most amazing sunglasses. You have to give her blog a looksi!!
Here are a few photographs of The Glamourai doing what she does best! Looking fabulous in front of the camera. Love!!!
Black leather gloves, the longer the better. Delicate materials like napa, suede or silk are used in the elaboration this must have pieces. They're so soft you will completely forget you're wearing them!
I think that the ladies Osbourne are my pick for WORST dressed at the Golden Globes this year. The mother & daughter duo could not have been more wrong!!!
O-M-G there were so many BADDDD dresses this year!!! I couldn't believe how many stylists were going to be out of jobs the next day lol. It's crazy though that these stars have teams of people surrounding them, helping with everything they do, yet somehow they still manage to walk out the house looking so bad. I'd imagine that even if one completely lacked taste, style or better judgement, they would know at least one person who has the above mentioned. Anyhoo, enough of that, here are some of the people I thought should fire their stylists!
The ladies Osbourne: Kelly & her mother Sharon. Tell me again how Kelly is on Fashion Police?! She is a joke!!! Seriously!
Dress by Zac Posen
Dress by Naeem Khan
I love Natalie Portman, but seriously!!! What's up with the extra hip?!
Frieda Pinto, hhhmmm I seldom like anything she wears so this is really no suprise. If anything, these suprise is that Prada made this creation!!
Amanda Peet..NO NO NO!!!! That's all I have to say. lol
So what do you think? Are you in agreement with my choices? Would love to hear from you!
I simply cannot decide who was my pick for best dressed. I loved both Sofia Vergara & Emma Stone so much this year. Both dresses were stunning, and the ladies who filled them even better. Aaahhh!!! Decisions! Who's it going to be???
Emma Stone in LANVIN
SOFIA VERGARA in Vera Wang
...
I have to say that even though j'adore Sofia Vergara, this is an expected silhouette & dress for her. We've seen it before. She looks stunning, but I think Emma Stone gets my nod for BEST DRESSED of the Golden Globes 2012. This Lanvin dress was beautiful but understated. Absolutely glamourous. LOVE!!!
