COLLAR Comeback!!!

When I tell you to pop your collar, I'm talking about this Autumn/Winter's mini trend. It's all about the collar! All shapes, colours, and sizes welcome! I am loving the detachable collar. Marni has a few fabulous pieces that are simply to die for! I am also crazy for the contrasting colour theme going on. It's not just black-on-white, it's yellow-on-green, and red-on-purple, and even floral. Love love love!

Within the collar trend is the ever-so-fabulous Peter Pan Collar. A typically French motif, the Peter Pan style collar fast becomes one of the easiest ways to spice up a look with minimal effort. Which is exactly why I like it. Whether its peeking out from under a smart cardigan, a classic style on bold prints, or a collar embellished with beads and jewels, this trend the Peter-Pan-Collar provides an elegant way to add interesting details to our outfits.

I'm loving this, hope you all look fabulous & chic rocking this trend this AW.

Louis Vuitton's delicious SS '12 Ad Campaign***

You have simply got to love how designer brand Louis Vuitton manages to pump out fantastic ad campaigns & collections each season. There's no doubt Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2012 showcase was one of the major highlights of last season's catwalk rounds. It has been said that an audible gasp rippled through the front row when a full-sized carousel was unveiled, with 48 models perched a-top the horses. To top it off, Kate Moss closed the show wearing a frothy white frock with a ladylike head band.

So what a treat to see the brand's campaign continuing the show's dreamy prettiness. The setting of a girly ice cream parlour is a world away from the gritty realities of budgets and employment figures and debt crises and recession, which is exactly why I love it. In fact, the retro vibe, created by photographer Steven Meisel, reminds us of the merriness of '50s films like 'Grease' with Daria Strokous and Kati Nescher perched on pink seats like a couple of Disney Tinkerbells.

The two up-and-coming models showcase Marc Jacobs' delicious confections, from the Lockit and Speedy bags in crocodile skin to the demure and delicate dresses with multi-coloured court shoes. To add to the super-sweetness, there's a smattering of sundaes adorned with swirly candy just waiting to be gobbled up.

Yummy!!! Fashion never  looked soooo delicious!!!

How to determine the Authenticity of Designer Handbags???

Aside from the embarrassment & fashion shame of being fooled into purchasing a fraudulent dud "designer" handbag, there is also a sense of lost investment. And that can't be a good feeling. So today I am giving you a few tips on how you can make sure you never knowingly buy a fake designer handbag. And I say knowingly, because some people really don't have a problem with purchasing fakes. But if you do, then read on!

1. Buy from a reputable dealer. Starting at the source is absolutely the best way to ensure that a purse is the real thing. A retailer that has an established reputation for good products, authentic merchandise and knowledgeable staff wants to keep you coming back for more. The store will be happy to show you all of the true designer bags in stock, and would never risk carrying fakes. If you can buy direct from the designer's outlet or website, that's best.

2. Touch the bag and evaluate the fabric. Designer lines are often crafted from fine materials like supple leather and soft skins, while the lining is always made of quality fabric. The bag will feel expensive to the touch, and will have a resilient quality that will thrive for years. If your bag textile feels rough, thin, or flimsy to the touch, keep on going to the next store.

3. Look for branding and logos affiliated with the company. Forgers worry more about creating fakes than using spell-check, so misspellings and grammatical errors abound. "Preda" and "Guchi" mean fake. Check for these mistakes on the lining print, zipper pulls, logos, labels and or authenticity cards.

4. Step out of the pricing fantasy world and into reality. A real bag is going to cost you something substantial, even at a good consignment shop or thrift store. Back-alley hideaways with R1500 Balenciagas sell nothing but fake bags. If the seller is reputable and knows her stuff, there's no way that a real bag will go for cheap.

5. Check out the little things like zippers, trim and closures. A real designer bag is often handcrafted or hand-finished, with sturdy trimmings. Often, smaller versions of the trademark or logo show up on these extras. Forgers don't have the time or money to spend customizing these touches, so they skip them.

6. Check and read certification literature. High-end bags actually come with serial numbers and a registration card. Often, these cards have holograms as a forgery deterrent. The receipt will also have important information like the location, transaction amount and item information. To check if something is real, call or email the company to check the numbers, or read purse information databases for series numbers that correspond to your model.

Angelina Jolie for Louis Vuitton "Core Values" ad campaign

Angelina Jolie is the latest star to pose for Louis Vuitton's "Core Values" ad campaign. A serene and sultry Angie (in her own clothes!) gazes off into the distance in Cambodia's Siem Reap province, a Louis Vuitton bag hanging off her shoulder. This ad was shot by world famous photographer Annie Leibovitz.

The Cambodian setting and "mother earth" vibe (Jolie wears natural makeup and her own clothes) is fitting for the actress, who found time in between making all those movies and adopting all those children to advocate for Cambodia on the international stage.

The "Core Values" ads, set to run for 18 months, will feature other celeb-humanitarians such as Bono. Curiously, the logo tote slung over Jolie's arm, Louis Vuitton's Alto bag, is a discontinued style. But Vuitton's executive vice president Pietro Beccari told WWD, "We are considering to re-edit it." Smart move.
